Responsibilities
Customer service
- Greet customers warmly and help them find the right clothing or accessories.
- Offer personalised, tailored recommendations.
- Handle enquiries, complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
Sales
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
- Communicate the features and benefits of each item.
- Advise accurately on pricing, sizes, colours and inventory.
Measurements & fitting
- Take accurate measurements and conduct fittings for custom tailoring or alterations.
- Collaborate with the tailor for precise fittings and alterations.
- Relay special requests and instructions to the tailor.
Inventory management
- Maintain stock levels and replenish the sales floor.
- Conduct regular inventory counts; keep the store organised.
- Report discrepancies or shortages to management.
Visual merchandising
- Create visually appealing displays that promote sales.
- Keep products neatly arranged and accurately tagged.
- Rotate merchandise to highlight new arrivals and seasonal items.
Operations, learning & compliance
- Assist with opening/closing, cash reconciliation and store security.
- Follow policies on cash handling, returns and exchanges.
- Stay informed on fashion trends and product knowledge.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow consumer-protection and data-privacy rules.
Requirements
- Passion for fashion
- Proven retail sales experience
- Previous experience in a tailor boutique is a plus
- Flexibility to work retail hours (Tuesday–Sunday, 11am–8pm)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Detail-oriented

Responsibilities
Quality & alterations
- Inspect completed garments against quality standards and specifications.
- Perform alterations, repairs and custom fittings on shirts, jackets, trousers and more.
- Press and steam finished garments ready for collection.
Client consultation
- Consult with clients and advise on alterations and fittings.
- Take measurements and conduct fittings with precision.
- Collaborate with the sales and design teams for client satisfaction.
Sewing
- Sew garments using hand sewing, machine sewing and serging.
- Work confidently across fabric types and garment constructions.
Workspace & craft
- Keep a clean, organised workspace with tools in good order.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a tailor, alteration specialist and fitter
- Strong hand sewing, machine sewing and serging skills
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements
- Ability to work with various fabrics and garments
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Works independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of garment construction and design
- Flexible; handles multiple tasks and deadlines
- Passion for fashion
- Flexibility to work retail hours (Tuesday–Sunday, 11am–8pm)
- Preferred: male tailor, alteration specialist and fitter
